Is It Safe and Legal to Download TikTok Videos?

Nothing gets installed, so there is no app asking for permissions and no extension reading your pages — it all runs in the tab you already have open. Paste a link and the file streams straight to your device; nothing is kept afterwards. One thing worth saying plainly: any downloader sees the link you paste, so do not paste a link you would not hand to a stranger.

No. The link is resolved, the file is streamed to your device, and nothing is kept. There is no library of video files.

No. The file is fetched from the public delivery link, so no view and no download is attributed to you. SSTikTok never connects to a TikTok account — not yours, and not the creator's.

Downloading your own content, or content licensed for reuse, is generally fine. Republishing someone else's video is copyright infringement regardless of how you obtained it. See our Terms of Service.

Downloading a clean copy for personal viewing is a different act from stripping a watermark to disguise the source. Never remove or obscure attribution when republishing someone else's work — that is infringement and, in some jurisdictions, an additional offence.

No. The video is fetched directly from the public delivery URL, so there is no view event attributed to you.

Only inside the app, and only for your own account. This tool does not interact with your account at all — it takes a public link and returns a file.

There is a per-hour cap on requests to keep the service available for everyone. Normal personal use never reaches it.
